NEW PRODUCT -- MULTI BIT SCREWDRIVER

Just posted the first of a new product line on my etsy site this morning:

MULTI-BIT SCREWDRIVERS

The first one is crafted in Italian Olivewood. Additional items will be posted soon and will use different woods.

Overall length is 8 1/2" and the widest part of the handle is 1 1/2". The handle alone is 5 1/4" long and 1 1/2" wide.

The screwdriver has 2 double-ended bits, one in each end of the double ended shaft. One bit has a Phillips # 2 driver and a 1/4" slotted driver. The second bit has a Phillips # 1 driver and a 3/16" slotted driver.

The ferrell around the entry point for the shank and the end cap are brass. The handle is sanded smooth and finished with woodturners wax for a comfortable fit in the hand.

A handy tool in the shop or a kitchen or desk drawer for those little "fix-it" jobs.

The traditional tablet stylus is very similar to a pen, but with a rubber tip on one end for use on an iPad, iPod, smartphone, any tablet surface.

A second type of tablet stylus, not as commonly found, is the double-ended tablet stylus. Again very similar to a pen, but it has rubber tips on either end and is therefore more versatile, no matter how you pick it up.

CIGAR BOX KALEIDOSCOPES: FEATURED PRODUCT FOR JANUARY

The featured products at my shop www.etsy.com/shop/wrightmade for the month of January are Cigar Box Kaleidoscopes.  To the best of my knowledge, these are the only Cigar Box Kaleidoscopes on the market today. Used, empty cigar boxes are used to build an Image Wheel kaleidoscope using copper plumbing pipe for the housing of the front surface mirrors, and a revolving image wheel.  I collect empty cigar boxes from friends and neighbors, as well as stopping in cigar stores on travels. Surprisingly, most cigar stores are happy to see such boxes used in a productive way.

I try to use as wide a variety of types of cigar boxes as I can find for the kaleidoscopes – looking at color, writing, labels, shapes, etc. Several dozen Cigar Box Kaleidoscopes have been crafted and sold over the years, and there are currently 15 listed on my etsy site.
